The 3-star Hedley House Hotel is situated in a quiet residential area, within an easy 8-minute walk of York city centre and its bus and rail stations. Under the same family ownership since 1984, all rooms and apartments have recently been refurbished and all rooms have a large flat-screen TV with Freeview channels. Hedley House was tastefully converted in 1984 from 2 Victorian town houses and has now expanded to include 2 interconnecting houses of self-catering apartments and 11 more spacious quality rooms. It has its own private car park, and there is a lounge bar and three dining rooms where award-winning, home-cooked evening meals and breakfasts are served. Food is made from locally sourced ingredients, and light snacks are also available.
